All some minor rule changes / clarification based on feedback. Please read the poaching update closely. This is not a new rule, but clarifies when and how the first 48-hours of poaching will be handled so it is fair to all and also so things are worked out prior to the free agent auction.

  1. Updated defensive scoring to account for sleeper limitations. 14-20 points allowed is now worth 4 points. The league rules had 14-20 points broken down into 14-7 and 17-20, but sleeper does not allow custom point ranges for defensive points allowed.

  2. Clarified the Taxi players don't have contracts and can't be put on contract hold. Note: I plan to change this for 2023, but for 2022 it will remain the same as that is always how I interpreted it in the past.

  3. Poaching is not allowed from the start of the free agent signing period until the Thursday before the free agent auction.

  4. The initial poaching period each season shall be the Thursday and Friday before the Free Agent Auction. During these 48-hours, poaches are NOT first come, first serve. All claims are equal. Any owner who has a player poached by at least one other owner must trade or sign that player prior to the start of the Free Agent Auction. Any owner who initiates a poach in the initial 48-hours must agree to at least minimum trade for the player and sign that player prior to the Free Agent Auction. Usually, a minimum trade is $1 dead money or a third-round draft pick, but owners can appeal to the commissioner if another reasonable option is offered. Bottom line is an owner can’t initiate a poach and then refuse to trade in good faith.
